The 2017 Pine Wood Derby has concluded. What a great race! All of our scouts, siblings, families, friends and leaders had a lot of fun!
Special thanks go out to all of the volunteers who helped setup the event, worked the event and cleaned up after the event. In my six years of leading this event this was the smoothest PWD ever! It was hard to believe that it was smoother than last year’s! This success is credited to all of the volunteers and scouts who showed tremendous character during this, at times very competitive event.

We had a few special results during this year’s event.
The races were the FASTEST we have ever seen.
The average heat speeds looks like a roller coaster, dropping 8 to 9 mph from heat to heat and then building back up over the next few heats.
During the Adult/sibling races we had a couple of siblings that had average speeds that would have placed in this year’s PWD. Pack 788 scouts better watch out in the future!
Ideas are already being discussed to make next year’s PWD even better experience for our Scouts. If you have any suggestions, please email them to your leaders. They will pass them along to the next year's Race Commissioner.
IT WAS A BLAST ……. THANK YOU AGAIN! <<< SEE ATTACHED AWARDS REPORT >>>
