Despite the forecast the service project is still on schedule for this Saturday starting at 1:00. We are going to clean out the shed and some items in the garage building. We will not be working on any of the trim or siding for the shed at this point. Dress warm and bring some gloves. With everyone volunteering it should last no longer than 1 hour.
Thank you to everyone who signed up to participate in the service project on April 30! If you are interested in participating but have not signed up, please do so by clicking on the link below.
The Pack 788 service project has been scheduled for Saturday, April 30, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Our project is to clean up a walking trail that winds through the woods behind Christ Church. The wooded property is owned by Christ Church and the trail was created years ago by a Boy Scout as his Eagle Scout project. Our duties will include raking the trail, removing any fallen sticks and collecting trash. Refreshments will be available.
Please bring rakes and similar lawn tools to use (no power tools, please). All scouts should wear the yellow Pack 788 t-shirt.
Although work is involved, the scouts always had a blast when we've done this project in the past.
If your scout can participate, please click the following link to sign up.
As you know we have our November Pack Meeting scheduled for this upcoming Monday, November 17th. This is a Pack Meeting you are not going to want to miss. We will be having some very special guests brought to us by Parrots of Paradise. Yes, Parrots!!! Join us for an evening of meeting and learning about some of these beautiful creatures. Parents, since this is a very special visit, please explain to the Scouts and any brothers and sisters that will be attending that they need to be on their best behavior so everyone can hear the presentation and get the maximum amount of fun out of the special visitors. We will be starting the Pack meeting at 6:30 pm promptly in the Worship Space at Christ Church Episcopal.
